New 3D printing platform for plastic series components

3D-Systems has announced the SLA 750 stereolithography solution for additive manufacturing, which is designed to make it easier to produce large products or high volumes. The new range includes the SLA 750 and SLA 750 Dual 3D printers, as well as the new Accura AMX Durable Natural material and the Post Cure 1050 post-processing system. This new manufacturing solution has the potential to enable cost-effective SLA batch production. This is demonstrated by the fact that twice the speed and three times the throughput can be achieved compared to other available stereolithography solutions. Another advantage is that the printers are prepared for downstream automation and are also robot-compatible for 24/7 operation. The Accura AMX Durable Natural material used is also designed to withstand repeated high mechanical stress and impact, according to 3D Systems, and has a tested mechanical performance of up to eight years indoors, while outdoors it also has a weather resistance of up to one and a half years. Additionally, the Post Cure 1050 finishing system can achieve up to 5 times faster cure time than comparable solutions and also offer 5 times higher throughput.
