SAMANTHA: Additive manufacturing and more!

Right on time for the completion of our SAMANTHA e-learning pilot course, two opportunities to participate in events came our way, where we could promote the project and the pilot course, which starts in November, to a broad public:

ERASMUS Days – 14.-16. October 2021

At the ERASMUS Days 2021, the Institute for Innovation in Learning presented itself with numerous projects on digital teaching and learning on the social media platforms Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. One part of the story was the SAMANTHA project. In total, we gained a reach of almost 400 people for the SAMANTHA post alone! We are very happy about the attention we achieved!

G’scheid schlau! – 21.-24. October 2021

The event G’SCHEID SCHLAU! was the long weekend of sciences in our region for the general public. This large-scale event, usually held in person and involving the entire University of Erlangen-Nuremberg with all its faculties, but also other research institutions and local companies, was held as an online event due to COVID-19. The Institute for Innovation in Learning participated with an educational but also entertaining project rally via the social media channels. For each project, a digital teaching/learning method was first presented with reference to our institute and then related to one of our projects. SAMANTHA was also part of the rally! First, we took SAMANTHA as an example to explain how to make e-learning courses attractive with interactive e-learning elements. After that, we promoted our SAMANTHA pilot course starting in November. The project rally was very well received, maybe also because there was an attractive prize to be won for correctly answering quiz questions!

We hope that we have also been able to recruit interested people for our e-learning pilot course at these two online events and look forward to lively participation! Further information (in German) here: https://www.ili.fau.de/2021/10/21/samantha-additive-fertigung-und-mehr/
