On April 22 and 23, AMUEBLA, the cluster of companies in the furniture sector in the Region of Murcia<\/strong>, hosted online the second monitoring meeting of the SAMANTHA<\/strong> project, co-financed by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and coordinated by KIT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this meeting, the consortium put an end to the work carried out in the IO1<\/strong> and presented the results obtained after the surveys carried out with students and VET teachers or professionals coming from the habitat and toolmaking sector. The purpose was to discover the level of use of 3D Printing or Additive Manufacturing<\/strong>, as well as the skills needed to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results achieved after the study, reveal that, in general terms, this technology is having a significant expansion<\/strong> both in the industrial sector and in the educational sector. In addition, large differences and skill gaps were established in the training plans between the participating countries, especially in terms of T-shaped skills. These data will allow partners to develop the curriculum and training content for the training programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the meeting laid the foundations for the educational content that SAMANTHA’s<\/strong> training course will address, with the aim of enhancing T-shaped skills<\/strong> (capable in a variety of aspects and expert in one field) for the appropriate use of 3D printing<\/strong> in the value chains of the habitat sector and the toolmaking industry through fully qualified workers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
